Trying out for my highschool soccer team, advice?

I have been playing soccer since my 6th birthday and love the sport. My schedule has always been to busy to include a travel team. I play for the park district team in my area, but high school tryouts are in less than a year and i feel that i am at a major disadvantage having played for a less competitive team. I am taking an indoor winter trainng camp, as well as a summer one. Any suggestions as to training myself to get a competitive edge? Please help :)

1. figure out what your strenghs are and make sure you are playing in a postion that is best for you not what you like best

train with thing that you can improve quikly such as pace, and turns also make sure your fitness level is up to scratch

ps. dont try and hog it

2. Well i play soccer to, and the most important thing for me is to just find any time, whether it be a game or just kicking a ball around in the house, to play soccer. At home, you really cant do much, but you can still work on your dribbling and your touch, by just juggling it around. At tryouts, just play aggressive, coaches love hussle. Try your best but the most important part is to have fun.

3. well for soccer your touches on the ball is very important. Always keep a ball at your feet, and make sure to get in shape, maybe try running everyday.
