1. are you nuts?

2. It depends on the caliber of the school. In terms of fitness, if you have the dedication, you can achieve that. But even division 3 soccer is pretty competitive. I barely made my college team and I've been playing since I was 4. Of course, my school was a regular top 20 in div. 3. Regardless, I say go for it. Worst that can happen is you get in shape and better at soccer. Just be realistic about your chances.

3. Im sorry but no unfortunately. Maybe for Junior Year.

4. well it seems near impossible that you would be able to get inshape for the season and never playing before give you a huge disadvantage compared to the players that have played longer. The most difficult part besides the getting in shape is the technique. The soccer technique for all skills take very long to even get them average. Also about getting in shape, you will need to be very fit. Some college soccer coaches require their players to run a mile in under 5 minutes and be able to run around 5 miles each around 5-6 minutes on average. That is not even at the Division 1 team. Im not saying it is impossible, but it will be a very difficult process and you must be dedicated to what you want or else there is probably no chance at making the team. On the soccer camp part, you will need to do some research because many of the soccer camps that have highschool players and college players only allow elite players and very high skilled players. It may be tough to find one. Just a question for you. what college do you attend and do you know what division of soccer that they play? good luck out there and remember if you are not dedicated to playing then there is no chance at playing

5. I don't know where you live, but once you get yourself into good enough shape to at least go run around for a while and kick a ball around, try going to a park and just playing in pickup games (if there is such a place where you live). That way you can at least get used to playing soccer. More than anything though, if you don't end up trying out for your college team, because it will be very difficult for you never having played before, pick up the game as a fun sport to play with friends, because it is definitely fun.

6. Well, maybe you can get your endurance up, and learn a few skills, but I doubt you can lose 50 lbs in that short time. Perhaps maybe you can make the team (MAYBE) if you work hard enough, or just keep trying the next year, cuz nothing's impossible! =)

7. Here's a realistic answer : No
You never played in your life and suddenly you are going to compete in a competitive league with people that started probably when they were very young.
Soccer is a game of instincts, technique and fitness.
I probably think you'll be able to achieve the fitness necessary in 6 month, if you have the perseverance and discipline (something even the best soccer players have problems with such as the brazilian Ronaldo, Adriano, etc)
But if we talk about the instincts and techniques it's something you probably can't achieve.
But there is hope. I know for a fact that some people are born with natural goal scoring or defending instincts. And if you're one of those and have a great fitness, you can manage depending in what league you play in.
All i can tell you is practice. If you're playing at a top level, you'd have to practice everyday for 6 month to be the best, but still with only practice you won't get the most essential part of soccer, EXPERIENCE. So, you'd also have to start studying the system and how to play the game which includes what to do in different situations.
So yea. You never know, because it's the mind that controls the body. With determination and perseverances, nothing is impossible. That's a FACT. Have fun and enjoy the best sport in the world!

8. No! I mean you can lose 50 pounds, but you never played before, The greats started when they were around 4-5, You should find a little league and play in it.

9. Sorry, but NO. Not trying to talk down on you or anything. The wait can be lost no dought, but thats the least of your worries. I started playing at 5 years old. I did play NCAA soccer and semi pro, but it was still tough. The fact that your college is NCAA makes it even more out of reach for you. They give scholarships for people to play for them. The best of the best.

There is hope to play though. Most cities have mens leagues and have different skill levels in the league. Try to find one of these first. Its your best bet.
