how can i work on trapping a soccer ball?
i have pretty good ball control. but my problem is stopp stopping the ball when it comes to me . Like if someone passes the ball to me i get my foot on it but it usually goes out too far. i know about "first touch" but im not quite sure wat that means. like the first touch is the most importat? i am better at trapping with my thighs. can you give me any tips to work on trapping the ball so it stops at my feet.

1. Well... to get a better first touch, practice juggling. It'll help you get a feel for the ball. Second, try throwing/kicking the ball straight up and using your feet to stop it from bouncing to high, or even at all. Lastly, make sure when you are trapping your not hitting the ball with your heel or other hard parts of your foot. That could cause thee ball to bounce further than wanted.
