1. The simple rule is that you lean back to flight the ball and get over it to keep it low.

2. you should hit the bottom of the ball and dont lean forward. instead of your ankle locked try to keep it up a little bit.

3. i think its your leg strength

after such a long break of soccer and handling and kicking balls your legs have grown a little weak

it will be back to its normal self in just a few games, but for now try getting out a little more and kick the ball around or even if you want, run a km a day.

also keep your ankle locked and lean back and hit the bottom of the ball, maybe ur messed ankle

it could also be that for some reason that the ball is a little harder than it was at the end of the season because of the cold.

anywho just kick the ball around and before you know it, your kick will be back to normal

hey its the start of the season, your a little rusty

4. Always remember to pull your leg all the way back before you kick. Keep your eyes where you want to kick on the ball, not your target. You should aim for the bottom part of the ball. If you get better, you can toe poke it near the center and still have the ball fly.
