What happens if I play in a soccer shoe that is a size short than I usually wear?

I play soccer and I wear size US8 but when I go to a party or something I put a size US9 because that is my usual size. So I want to know what will happen if I wear a size short for hours, because I train a lot. Am I going to have toe problems? I put size 8 because there isn't too much leg movement inside my shoe.

1. Soccer shoes are supposed to fit "like a glove." I cannot stress enough how important your boots must fit your feet. Make sure you can feel your toes when pressing down on the end of your boots. Having it fit properly dramatically improves your touch and shots.

I have found that many (including myself) were/are under the idea that soccer shoes are supposed to fit like a wear-to-school-shoe-- when really they aren't. Since your shoe is a size "short," I wouldn't consider it a problem. But of course, you wouldn't want to cram your toes.
