Will I get into the University of Miami?

I really really really want to go there. i'm a white female living in michigan. I know my test scores and gpa are kinda low. act 26 gpa 3.74. I plan on majoring in international relations. I've taken 4 honors classes(econ, gov, english, us history) and 4 ap classes (language, literature, world history, biology). i've taken 4 years of french and 5 years of spanish. Since my school cut a lot of ap's i've dual enrolled twice and been a guest student once and gotten a's(arabic, international politics and global econ) I have 200+ hours of community service. i went on a missions trip to haiti. i was a chairman in organizing my schools kids against hunger event. i was in nhs for 2 years and was the historian my second year. i tutored a lot and tutored esl. i also tutored at risk kids in a summer program. i was in a church youth group for 5 years and volunteered with that a lot. i lead a small group at church as well. i received several leadership awards for my extensive tutoring. i was a member of my school's bible study and fellowship of christian athletes. i was on class board for 3 years. i played jv volleyball my freshman year. I played varsity soccer for 2 and ran varsity cross country for 2 years. i played club soccer for 8 years. i was in french and spanish honors society and was the vp in french honors society. i won the department award for spanish. i worked as a lifeguard, summer soccer camp instructor and at a local sandwich shop.

please don't just give me statistics on the universities average student and that sort of stuff. thanks :)

1. Your GPA is OK, but your ACT score is marginal.

Don't waste your undergrad years studying "International Relations". There are few career possibilities with this Major.

2. Your extracurriculars are impressive; however, your ACT score is below the 25th percentile of accepted applicants. If your gpa is unweighted then hopefully your weighted gpa would be up to par with the average 4.2. I know you didn't want statistics, but numbers are what count. Admission boards not only see your application individually but compare it to the entire pool of applicants. I'd say take the ACT again and aim for a 30 or try taking the SAT and aim for a 1300 (CR and math). I'd say that if you can raise your test scores you have a pretty decent chance of getting in!

Also, don't give up on international relations as a major. It's what I intend on majoring in as well, and there are plenty of job opportunities within the government (which is the largest, most stable employer in the nation).
