Public Comments

1. Considering that you play soccer, your chances should be really high!

2. Since your GPA is high, you are in the top 10% of your graduating class, you have taken many AP classes, and you have a good number of extracurriculars; you should be able to get into almost any state school. Your test scores are also a vital thing though. Good luck!

3. You will definitely get into your "ideal" universities. Something tells me you knew that deep down. You have GREAT grades. A 3.6 UW is hard to achieve when you're taking a lot of AP's and what not. And your ECs and awards are amazing. Why not shoot for some schools in-between Stanford and University of Washington, like UCLA and UC-Berkeley? You definitely could get into them.

4. A couple things:

1) As a junior, you should probably have taken the SAT by now, or at very least some of the SAT subject tests. Most top tier schools require 2 subject tests (unless you're submitting the ACT). Take the SAT soon!

2) You have a ton of extracurriculars, but many of your extracurriculars look like you've only done them for a year or two. Colleges prefer depth over breadth, so try picking a couple of areas and demonstrating dedication and passion.

3) Your GPA means very little as just a number. Schools will ALWAYS evaluate academic performance in the context of the school you go to.

4) GWU is much less competitive than any of the other schools in your "dream school" category. Georgetown is pretty competitive, but not nearly as competitive as Stanford or Yale.

You seem to have a solid beginning, but it's too early to predict anything, considering that you have no test scores or essays yet. Good luck during this stressful process!
