To go or not to go??? Soccer vs Employement.?
I'm 19 and i've just been invited to go to a week long training camp for my university soccer team in Montreal. But, I jsut got a job and this job was important to me because i've got to pay of school, my phone bills, and my car. Technically i could pass without it, but theres a lot of pressure on me to work because i'm not the richest and my program is very expensive, so my parents expect me to help out in paying.
On the other hand, i didn't make the team last year and this year i've been invited to train for a week (and at the end of the week i could either be on the team or be cut, its like a one week trial after passing the initials tryout. And so heres a chance to do what i love, but if i go to this trial i have to quit my new job, and then i might end up not even making the team.
I know you can't solve this for me, but any thoughts, advice?

1. Employment al the way. if you love soccer just go play intramurals at the college.
2. Go for the tryouts !
If you don't , than all you're going to do (after the job , and while in school) is wonder what could have happened if you went.
Focus on the tryout, train for it, but make sure you don't twist or break anything meanwhile and be positive about it.
If for some reason you don't make the team (knock on wood) , than at least you know that you gave 110%.
About the job, I'm sure that your parents will understand that this is a big deal for you and that you need to follow your heart a little.
3. there are many jobs you can get and you are a young person with a lot of years ahead of you. go to the try outs because if you don't try you will never know what could have been. life is too short to live your life wondering and far to short to have to live with regrets.
4. Employement, if you have a job depeding on the pay you'll be able to go to REAL NATIONAL, world cup soccer games.
