Is soccer camp right for me?
I'm not a very good player. I played well in the 2-3rd grade and I loved it, but I quite because of the girls on my team. I'm on my soccer team at my school this year, but I don't feel like I'm good enough. And I'm doing soccer next year in high school (I'm in 8th grade) and I'm scared. I don't have the self confidence at the moment. I'd like to get better at a camp, but I want a camp that isn't mainly jsut competition, I want a camp that will try and help ME personally get better at my game. The main problem is that I don't have the self confidence. I'm scared, and shy. But I love the game, and right now on my soccer team, I'm first string left defence. So please tell me, what camp, if any, would be right for me?

1. self confidence is key when it comes to improving your skills.....i had somewhat the problem you have when i was younger and camp helped me out alot. i think you should go to camp, it helps build confidence and skills, also you get to meet people with similar intrest.
2. Why not go to a couple soccer camps if you can? Or, see if you can practice with some older players who will help you learn? Ask around and see if there are any practices you can go to or pick up games.
A camp is a great way to learn and find some other players who you can learn from. The coaches at the camp will be more than happy to help you. Don't worry, if you love playing that will come through and you'll do well.
If you really want to become a good player, you'll need to practice on your own too. So work on juggling, dribbling, passing, and your overall control.
