Trying out for girls soccer?
Well Im a freshman in highschool and i wanted to tryout for the girls soccer team. Problem is i just started playing soccer 3 months ago... ive played a little here and then before tho.....my goal really is the JV team atleast. I was wondering if that is at all possible that ill make the Jv team with the short time that i've played. Im wondering this because I've heard of girls joining all these soccer camps during the summer... and have started playing when they were like 5 years old. I havnt done any of those i dont have the money to join a camp or anything.
Ty for any help

1. Just hustle on every play at every practice and you can show the coach that you deserve a spot on the team. Can't teach hustle and effort. Good luck!
2. Trying out for other teams and playing with other teams that are really advanced helps a lot. Even if you aren't that experienced or skilled a player, you still can pick up some good skills when you play with other teams. It's kind of like immersion to learn a language--if you're around it enough, you pick it up yourself. Learning a few really good plays or moves, and using them in the tryouts, impresses a coach. Set plays are more impressive than you think--coaches like soccer brains too, not just soccer skills (but both are important).
And don't forget even if you don't make any of your school teams, there are often city leagues that don't cut people and they're not very expensive. Those leagues are more for fun, if you're looking for competitive teams then school leagues all the way. Just don't be discouraged if you don't make it, you're only 14 and you have a few more good chances to make a team. And even if you don't make any team, you can always have soccer in your life. Play a pickup game with the Spanish-speakers down the street...kick butt after school with the guys' JV team...watch soccer on ESPN whenever you get the chance...there are endless ways to keep it in your life, don't be down if it doesn't work out the way you want it to.
GOOD LUCK!
sincerely,

3. wat school do u go to?
I am am fish(freshman) and i am trying out for soccer
GO FIGHTING FARMERS
4. first of all, don't worry about making the team and just try out for the fun of it. u can get some good tricks online by yahooing it, but practice practice practice,
if u want to run 1 mile or 2 a day
do a couple of pushups and crunches
swim 1nce a day if possible
and play soccer with urself and with friends
as a freshman ur prolly not going to make the team, but u should LEARN from this experience for next time
5. first of all dont be intimidated by the other girls who went to camps....they're only going to brag about it, and it doesn't make them any better of a player than u r.....making the jv team will prolly be pretty tough but if ure really determined u should be able to do it....even if u make the freshman team its still a great acomplishment....think about it u'll prolly get way more playing time on the freshman team rather than not playing so much on jv....before tryouts just make sure that ure working on ure footskills, passing, dribbling, and a little fitness!!!!!!
