Summer job for 15 year old??
This summer I would like to make a bit of cash, and was wondering about jobs in VA, MD and PA. I am a grade 8 certified soccer referee, and have lots of experience coaching youth at all kinds of sports. I would love to work as a coach, referee or at a camp(can be a church camp, I am a christian) but what places accept 15 year olds???
(note- please do not tell me I should go mow lawns or babysit, I am beyond those things, they do not make very much money...)
edit- I know the hire counselors, but most of them say the counselors have to be either 16 and up or 18 and up. I know I could be a counselor, but I just don't fit their age slot. Does anybody know of a camp that lets 15 yr olds be counselors???
I do not think that "I'm all grown up and all". Please be polite at least! I do babysit, but I would like something else too!

1. many summer camps will hire camp counselors
2. You could entertain me.
3. Actually you probably want to babysit. When I was 15 I was making a whole lot more money babysitting than my job at the grocery store. This is because 1, you can charge like 10-12 dollars an hour babysitting and 2. The money you make is tax free. If you make like mimimum wage which is like 7.75 you'll probably only see like 6.00 of that because a lot of it goes to taxes. then when you start college in like 3 years your financial aid will drop significantly because they expect you to take all the money you have been making for the last three years and use it for you college tuition.
You probably won't be a camp counselor anywhere because the camps don't want the counselors to be the same age as the campers. I know you think you're grown up and all, but you still have a long ways to go.
4. Babysitting.
Bagging or stocking job at a local grocery store. Many grocers will hire baggers that are 15.
Fast food restaurant, e.g. McDonald's.
If you are able to work and do not want to work at fast food restaurants, try motels, daycare and lawn services in your phone book.
Go to a neighbors house and ask if you can help around the house if you do a good job they will recommend you with friends but be courteous and friendly at all times! :)
A little ice cream place.
I know that a son of a friend of mine, that was your age (15), put an ad in the little nickel paper (weekly ads) expressing his interest in earning monies. He received several responses from the ad.
Try looking at a simple, independent local store rather than a chain. When you turn 16 you will at least have some experience which is good.
A farm.
If you know computers you could try programming or being a Web developer, or you could do data processing.
I got a job in a pub in the kitchen when i was 14, washing up and things. Don't be scared to ask it doesn't get you anywhere!
They might be a little too young for a job but they might be able to work at a fast-food restaurant.
Mcdonalds
You can try the company Chick-fil-a
You could find a job at the YMCA
Yes, you can. I'm not sure about the variety of jobs you can get, though. One of my friends is only 14 and she works at Starbucks, so there's one possibility. Since most places start hiring at 16, what I would do is just go around mowing lawns, washing cars, or walking dogs etc. for a decent amount of money. If you do it right, that money can add up very quickly.
Burger King, McDonalds, Wendy's. Any fast-food restaurants.
And local shops that are run by big companies.
