Is National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine Really That Great For College Applications?

I got nominated by my Biology teacher and i received the nominations a few weeks ago. Currently my family is unsure if we can financially support this trip. My mum has done some research and according to what she has found, everyone says it's a scam. Yes it is an awesome experience but you can get the same by fallowing a doctor at a local hospital. The dean of admissions at University of Penn. Said "Honors typically doesn't come with a price tag" Trips such as these help just as much or little as soccer camp" So I'm asking you what you think. Is it really worth the strain on my family for the next two years or should i just go shadow my cousin when she is done with her residency?

why waste all that money? trust me i was in your same situation. your gonna have a huge financial stain on your family and your not even in college yet! just make sure you do a lot of volunteer work for a consistent amount of time and you will be good. also, if you want to get into Penn, keep your grades high, receive at least a 2000 on you SATs and don't forget extracurricular activities.
