Would you want me to tell you something personal? Hey! I am recovering from an eating disorder. I am 15 yrs old and I go to a boarding school. On Friday I am going to overnight soccer camp for a week. Do you think I should tell one of the senior girls privately about what Im going through (because I may be awkward at meals in the cafeteria because I only eat certain foods and stuff) At the end of the school year people were really starting to notice my weight loss. what is the healthiest way to lose fat fast? i only need to lose like 2-5 pounds but here's the problem: i am a very healthy person. i'm really active (i play soccer on top of a lot of other sports) and eat really, really well (my mom's a health freak). but i have a little bit of flab on my tummy and upper thighs that just won't leave!!! how do i get rid of it fast (before i have to go away to a co-ed overnight camp)?? i already know some excersies you're supposed to do but those don't seem to help at all. i feel like i've reached a plateau and i can't get that extra flab off no matter what i do!!! no matter how many sit-ups (i do like 100 a day, seriously) or thigh-lifts i do!! by the way, i am 14. and i'm not one of those weird weight-obsessed people, i just really want to lose the flab quickly. any suggestions? i would like to lose it by july 22, if that is possible. i do eat regular meals through out the day but i don't eat too much and by healthy i mean fruits and veggies and all that good stuff. i play soccer competitively and do horseback riding. the overnight camp is a sports camp. i can not see what i am doing wrong!!! i'm not really overweight at all - there's just a little bit of flab there that WILL NOT GO AWAY!!! does anyone know any tricks to get flab off?

Principles of U8 Soccer? I'm trying not to get too upset about this since it is only just a sport and just for the kids.j My son was in U8 soccer in the fall and it was pretty much beginner basic. The children on all the teams were on the same level of progression, the players didn't really know exactly what to do with passing and positions, the coaches rotated the children, goals weren't necessarily kept but awarded with the cheer of the parents it was like I said very basic, teaching them to have fun and to sort of get the concept. Now my son is in U8 spring soccer and it is a traveling team. The first practice began the same way his fall season did. Drilling and the fundamentals. Yesterday was the 5th game we had been to against another township and yesterday was sort of the last straw for me. Although my son is not the greatest player because you can sort of weed out who's been playing since they were 3 or 4 on the team, my son does know how to play. Since the start of the season my son has not been favored at all to play and it seems as if the coach went from teaching the kids the fundamentals of soccer to lets win, win, score and win overnight. Yesterday was his 5th game and also the 4th game in a row where he had only played once in the entire hour of the game and for only 5 minutes. there are in total 12 kids on his team and being the mom that I am of course I am sitting across the field watching my son sit on the bench so I of course notice how many times each kid was played and in total every child on the team was rotated to play more than 5 times except the natural players who were basically kept in play and my son (only played once). This isn't the first time though, this is the 4th time in a row. I was furious. for many reasons being that, we paid for spring soccer and it wasn't a pretty penny, we drove an hour from our home to attend this game, and most importantly - my son. He loves soccer, he's been to soccer camp and has played soccer for 2 years now and like I said, although he's not the best kid on the team we put him on the team because he asked if he could play again this year. I dont want to over react which is why I sat quietly for 5 games but now I'm at my wits end with this last game. How do I even approach the coach with this problem....

Should I try to convince my parents to let me go to a $2000 camp? I went to a soccer camp this summer that was really fun and I made a lot of close freinds. We all want to do it next year too, except for two weeks and overnight, which would cost about $2000. (This year I only did it for one week and I did the day camp version, which was $500). I feel bad asking my parents if I can do the $2000 version, because it is so expensive. However, my dad makes about 300k a year, has a stable job, and has a lot of money in savings, so he isn't doing too bad financially. How do I become a better soccer player? I would do anything, I am on a club soccer team and i do high school soccer. I am a freshman on varsity for a very good team, league champs best division. ranked top 10 in state. Over the summer i am either doing 4 separate camps all overnight or 1 camp for 3 weeks. During spring soccer season with club we don't have practice everyday we have it probably 3 days a week, and then a game. I also am on a national futsal team. But anyways i want to practice everyday I don't have practice already in the spring, and over the summer i want to practice EVERYDAY. but what should i do when i practice? I figure juggle a little, maybe buy a speed latter. please give me ideas on drills to do that will help me. Thanks.

Ironically, are illegal immigrants the only people left with American spirit? Seems we want illegal immigrants out but really where else will you find the classic spirit of America that helped make this country great. While Whites seems to live life going from one latte to another and driving the kiddies to soccer practice and camping overnight for the next Harry Potter or Star Wars movie, and blacks complain about how unfair everything is and how much they are owed, and legal foreigners from Asia and India get their big degrees and paychecks and immediate go back to their countries, illegals seem to be the only ones left who love the fact that they have an opportunity to work and earn a buck and seem to still appreciate family and values. And I guarantee that if they could, a greater percentage of them would happily die for their country in service to protect the freedom they have then most natives who barely appreciate the great country this is.

What does my dream mean? (its kinda long)? Okay so I had this dream the other night. I was at my school, but it was at a different location. Behind the school there were these hills/forest. After school, me and a few people decided to go there. When we got to the top there was a really small town. We went to this football field and there was a baseball diamond next to it. It was super weird. Then my brother came onto the football field with other kids his age (my brother is 11). He was at a football training camp. Three or four teenage guys a bit older than me. They were hot. It got weirder. The kids and my brother left and it was just me and a few people from school. I don't remember who the other people from my school were. So the guy started flirting with us and kicked a soccer ball around. This guy Thomas Dean (dont ask) had dark hair, blue shirt, and jeans. He kicked a soccer ball over the fence. I ran over and kicked it. But i suck at soccer and it bounced off the fence. This other guy came up behind me and said, "Don't ever mess with the Dean". Then this other guy came up behind me and stuck his arms out and yelled, "retartded chicken". I knew that it was some weird thing they do to mess around people there. Then this guy with dark grogeous hair, a maroon polo, jeans, and brown guy flip flops put his arm around me and said his name (i dont remember it) and i told him mine. I asked him how old he was. He said, "21". I looked at him funny and he said, "Which is 15". He did look older than 15. And he asked me, "So how old are you katie?" I was like, "14". And i'm not 14 till september. So we were totally flirting. We had our arms around eachother. This guy and me had a connection. But we started calling each other best friends. I woke up but was still in a dreamy state so it was like my dream continued. The guy and I were together and messing around like we were best friends. He was running around in the football field with me, giving me piggy back rides. It was perfect. Then my parents found out about me going there and told me i couldn't go there anymore. But i did anyway. So i went to a baseball game with this guy and we were having a thumb war. "Whoever wins gets to decide if we kiss or not", he said. So we did the thumb war and he won. The guy was speechless. I just put my head on his shoulder and we were holding hands. But then he kissed me. I freaked out and ran to the football field. He came after me and sat next to me. I told while crying, "I can't keep lying to my parents about coming here". He nodded and moved hair out of my face. I asked him, "Are you just having a good time just flirting or do you really have feelings for me?" And he replied, "At first it was just a good time, then i started to like you". And then my mom came into my room and so the dream ended. I was going to go to a summer camp there so obviously we had been friends for a year because the dream took place in August. I was going to the summer camp there to be with him. It was overnight so i was trying to figure out how to keep it from my parents. What does this all mean? I WAS asleep most of the dream. I woke up but was sleepy and still in a dreamy state. I thought of the whole baseball game thing when I woke up. But it felt like I was still dreaming.

Can Someone Proof Read My Essay? Some things never change. Five years ago, I could look into my oldest brother Terry’s face, and see nothing more than that. He was my older brother. Everything else there was about the boy seemed to disappear- to hide itself in the back of my brain- seemingly nonexistent. Everything else I knew about him- the soccer player, wrestler, Virginia Military Institute cadet- was washed away. Even his blue-grey military uniform- it was just a transparent façade. All I could see in Terry’s face was a brother, eight years my senior, who cared about me, and would protect me. Today, this still rings true. A snapshot from then is also a snapshot from now. My brother’s home became my home away from home- a place visited as frequently as possible. Yet no matter where that place is, USMC Base Quantico, Virginia, or USMC Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, I still see nothing more in his face than a brother. Everything a brother should be. The smiles in both of us remain the same, as do so many other things, though maybe not viewable in just a picture. I remain the same, and he remains the same. I do stupid things, and he laughs at them. He tries to keep me out of trouble….but then I just go and get into more. It’s interesting how life plays out. Take a look at the building that serves as the background for a photo of Terry and me five years ago. The building which served as a safe haven for so many then (including my older brother), a place for so many to praise their God, whom they loved dearly, would later serve as a safe haven for me just one summer ago. It’s something that I never would have expected…I was on my way to the state of Kentucky to help rebuild and improve homes for those less fortunate. How could anyone on Earth have predicted that such a trip would bring me back to the building in which my brother worshipped throughout his college life, if you can really call VMI a college. The members of my mission team were offered the building of Lexington, Virginia’s Presbyterian Church to stay overnight, and to be protected from the outside world. Yet again, this building would serve as a safe haven, but for different people. I never would have expected that the night spent at Lexington’s Presbyterian Church would turn into one of the greatest nights of my life. It’s a clichéd thing to say, yes, but it is completely true. I never would have guessed it, but it happened. So many things went on inside those stone walls that night that it would be almost impossible to tell about them. And it wouldn’t mean a thing anyway to someone who wasn’t there. That church turned into three kids’ ultimate playground. A pulpit transformed into a podium from which dictators could command their empire. Super Soakers became the weapon of choice for that empire. A water gun could control anyone that night, and sleeping bodies turned into land mines. They could explode at any moment, ending our night of fun. But in patrolling the building, we were careful. Not once were we caught doing a thing we shouldn’t have been doing. We were Navy SEALs in our own little world. I still can’t figure out why any of that happened- why that church, that night, held such awesome events. But there’s really no use contemplating the reasoning, for the simple fact is… it already happened. You can’t change the past. But it’s interesting how life plays out. The ignorance of an 11 year old can easily be seen in one quick glance at that photograph of my brother and me outside Church 5 years ago. I was clueless as to everything going on around me. Some things just refuse to stay the same. How could I have foreseen the transformation of two lives, so parallel, yet at the same time, so far apart? Five years ago, I would willingly initiate a wrestling match, a physical fight between Terry and me. I knew, or I thought I knew, that nothing too bad could happen. I would obviously lose, but that was okay. Today, I rarely get that chance. It’s hard to wrestle someone who’s half the world away. But even if I did get the chance to wrestle my older brother, I wouldn’t take it. I’ve come to realize that I would get ripped apart by the man. I would be devoured, limb by limb, by my brother, with no effort whatsoever. Along with the mental difference between then and now, a visible, physical difference is also visible. Heights and builds have changed drastically. I grew up. He grew out. My brother Terry has gone from the lowest of the low (seen by his uniform’s stripes and medals…or lack thereof) to commanding people who have been in the military for decades. I’ve seen the same love, care, and protection that I knew I possessed from him years ago, applied time and again towards me, and then something much more awesome- the United States. I’ve come to respect my brother- something that never crossed my mind five years ago. Although I still know Terry as my brother, I now understand that he is more than that. Today, I’m not AS clueless as I was in elementary school standing next to Terry. I understand his importance, and the importance of everyone in his position. This is another thing I wouldn’t have thought about years ago. It’s just really interesting how things play out- how life plays out. Some things never change. And others…they refuse to stay the same. Does this girl like me? Well there is a girl that I kinda like but I don't know if she likes me this is what I can tell you: Whenever she sees me she'll always say hi. There was kind of this problem where at this overnight soccer camp we both went to I was being a huge spaz at the skit/dance night thing, and afterwards my best friend who always came said she told him that she thought I was a spaz or something along those lines. Overnight soccer camp complications? Our daughter occasionally wets the bed and the problem is she is going to soccer camp next weekend. While she is at soccer camp, should we have her wear Goodnites (like Pull-ups for teen girls) at night incase she has an accident? She usually wears them at the house to keep the bed dry. Overnight summer camps in Washington? I'm a 14 year old girl that is looking for an overnight summer camp around Washington. I'd go as far as the San Juan islands, even farther if need be. Probably no further than 5 hours away though. It needs to be boys and girls, where both mingle with each other. I go to an all girls school so I'm looking for a chance to meet boys really and have fun. Any suggestions? Why won't my mom let me go? How can I convince her to let me go? I'm 15 and my soccer team is entering a beach tournament that is in a few weeks that lasts for two days. We play two games, get wristbands for full access to the nearby water park and pier, and stay overnight at a nearby hotel. I want to go really badly because... 1. I like my soccer team and spending time with them 2. l enjoy playing soccer and have played my whole life 3. I have never played beach soccer before! It sounds really fun and plus its a new experience. 4. Rides and water parks are really fun! At first she said she won't let me go because she won't pay for it. It's $72.50 I have earned enough money through babysitting so I decide I will pay for it myself. But even when I told her I'll pay for it myself, she STILL won't let me go. Now she is saying that I can't go because I don't have time to do it. You see I went through depression this past school year and it caused me to be so dysfunctional that I wouldn't go to school. Then I had to be put into treatment everyday for about two months for my depression. So not only did I miss school before my treatment but I also missed two months of school while I was in my treatment. But my mother has worked things out with the school and came up with a plan. Now my mother is homeschooling me so I can work at my own pace and I have an extension into the summer. So now she wants me to practically work 24/7 on my school work. But this tournament is only TWO DAYS! UGGGG! My parents don't even have to do anything if I go because I am paying for myself, and if I go I will be getting a ride with one of my teammates. Plus there will be adult supervision (my coach). I know that they trust my coach because he has taken the team out to get pizza and ice cream like after the games before. And I know she trusts my teammates because she has let me sleepover one of my teammates houses before. I have also been away on trip before without her. I went down the shore with my best friend for a few days, I went on a class trip for 3 days, and I have also been to girl scout camp for two days at a time. SO why won't she let me go on THIS trip? It seems like she will just keep making more excuses for me not to go, so how can I convince her to let me go? Thanks. PS: Please don't tell me I am acting like a spoiled brat or anything. I know that we don't always get what we want in life. But I want to go on this trip really badly! I am paying for it with my own money and I usually wouldn't. I have had Discharge for like 2-3 years and a couple months ago I was at school and I went into the bathroom and it was brown and rusty than it continued for the day than the next morning it just stopped! and its never happened. I also have pubic hair and arm pit hair i wear a 34 A bra and I started wearing one at the end of 6th grade ( I;m going into 9th ) And last my lower stomach has been having some random pains on and off. Cramps Maybe?? 2. To be safe should I wear a pad/ Pantyliner everyday?? like literally every single minute of the day?? ha i'm really paranoid!!! 3. What should I pack for this at the soccer camp??? The insides of my knees really hurt when I run and go up and down stairs? I exercise A LOT. During any time other than summer I have soccer practice most nights and games on the weekends plus shooting practice and speed and agility class. In addition, I have ballet once a week. I exercised over the beginning of the summer somewhat frequently but not as much as usual. Recently I had a week of varsity practice day camp, had ODP tryouts the following Saturday and Sunday, and started an intensive season prep overnight camp after the Sunday tryout. Around the second day of camp the inside of my knees started hurting badly during warm-up. They didn't hurt as much once I was stretched. I didn't notice any pain on the stairs. This continued throughout the week and now I'm home and relaxing. Going up and down the stairs hurts quite a bit and I haven't tried running. I've noticed before when working out it hurts my knees to do squats after a little while, but I don't think it's the same as what I'm experiencing now. If you have any idea what this means or what to do about it please help!

Any good pet stories? Lately I've just been thinking about my dog who died about 3 years ago. Whenever I think back, I get choked up :( He was a sheltie, 12 years old and was my best friend I ever had and he meant the world to me... then I went to an overnight camp. I was rushed out of the house because it was a soccer camp and it started the same day so we had to get there in time. As soon as I got in the car I realized I forgot to kiss my baby boy good bye ( and I NEVER forgot except for this one time) Then about halfway through the camp, my mom wanted me to come home early with my friend who had to leave early anyways. She didn't say why... I will never forget the ride home: My friend and I were just laughing and listening to music the whole way. Yet my friends dad knew the whole time. I stepped into my house, waiting to be greeted by my boy, but my family was just sitting on the couch, with blank faces. I knew something was up. I sat down, and my mom began to tell me, with a choked up voice, that Dewey got really sick when I was gone. I quickly sat up and asked "where is he??" and there was a long silence. I looked back over at my mom and I will never forget the way she said it. Just simply: "He died, honey", as tears started to fall down. She said he was having seizures and he was pounding his head on the ground. It took me about 10 seconds for that to sink in. Then I just went in to complete denial. I ran up to my room and didn't come out for the longest time. I remember my older brother calmly walking into the garage, sat in my moms car, then just started to scream and scream. He loved that dog just as much as I did. We now have another dog who I love dearly, and I try hard not to think about Dewey because I cry and can't stop. I literally grew up with him. We were the exact same age, only a couple months apart. It was the most painful thing I ever went through, and I'll never forget my best friend. Now I want to hear your pet stories... did you go through a tough loss? Any funny stories? Tell me everything!
