Is soccer camp right for me? I'm not a very good player. I played well in the 2-3rd grade and I loved it, but I quite because of the girls on my team. I'm on my soccer team at my school this year, but I don't feel like I'm good enough. And I'm doing soccer next year in high school (I'm in 8th grade) and I'm scared. I don't have the self confidence at the moment. I'd like to get better at a camp, but I want a camp that isn't mainly jsut competition, I want a camp that will try and help ME personally get better at my game. How can I get rid of my anxiety for soccer camp? I'm transferring to a private school next year for tenth grade. I've decided to play soccer because they have a no cut team. They only have a varsity team though because the school is pretty small. I developed an eating disorder over the winter/end of fall and lost a ton of weight. (140 lbs-110 lbs.) I go to boarding school and havent seen my friends since I left. I am on my way to recovery and I eat 2200 cals a day, but I am still picky and obsessive about calories and what i will and will not eat... I am now 120 pounds and I am wondering what everyone will think of me when they see my weight gain... I have soccer camp in a few days and I am wondering how to go about it. Should I email one of the senior girls I am comfortable with and give them a heads up about how im doing etc and that i will prob not be eating "normal" but just my safe foods that I''ll bring with me.. idk!! im 5 ft 5 in and 15 yrs old. Girls Only! (Guys can answer too if they want) Swimmers or Soccer players? ironically, my dad used to be a professional soccer player.... and i kind of hate soccer. My mom played it in high school, my little brother plays it, my dad still likes to play it and owns the British players who come by. They put me in soccer camp...meh so I had like 10% raw talent, other than that, I think the fact that I hated soccer so much made me biased to it. I didn't want to learn it. I was stubborn to win and stubborn to just give up. So this also made me a little blind to soccer players. HOWEVER, I've noticed that uhh...few soccer players I've seen are somewhat good looking. But when I see a swimmer...well maybe it's 'cause they're shirtless and the shoulders and....everything >:D I get all...tingly feeling. Heheh. I don't really know why exactly I like swimmers more. Soccer players are cool but the ones I know are very cocky and it gets annoying after a while because I can't take them seriously. Like my dad can be like that too...... Anyways, I love swimmers. But I wanted to know which you prefer...swimmers or soccer players? 'N another thing...I don't know why but swimmers look very nice when they're all wet. Soccer players can be "wet" too if they sweat a lot...which is ...not bad I guess but sometimes it can be a little gross. I like that swimmers are wet :D So...my ramble is over since I really have nothing else to explain or say. So a week from today I'm going to a soccer camp at Baptist Bible College in PA (2+ hours away from my house) with 7 other kids from my High School soccer team (I play co-ed, but the camp does guys and girls separate).
